Ornamental Grasses
VARIEGATED SWEET FLAG
Acorus gramineus "Variegatus" grows in Zone
6.
Fans of grass-like green leaves with a white border. Excellent
for use around pools, or in moist areas. Prefers full sun.
BLUE FESCUE
Festuca ovina "Glauca" grows in Zone 4 up
to 30cm high.
Dense mound of blue-gray narrow leaves. Ideal for borders or
edging, as an accent or in mass plantings.
FINE GREEN FESCUE
Festuca tenuifolia grows in Zone 4 up to 20cm high.
Very fine foliage forming bright green clumps. Ideal as a mass
border planting in raised beds.
BLUE OAT GRASS
Helichtichon sempervirens grows in Zone 4.
Distinctive attractive foliage and form. Leaves are a true
blue and much wider and longer than Blue Fescue grass.
MAIDEN GRASS
Miscanthus sinensis "Gracillimus" grows in
Zone 5 up to 2m high.
Fine textured silvery green foliage with graceful arching habit.
Silvery-white plumes develop in fall and last through winter.
RIBBON GRASS
Phalaris arundinacea "Picta" grows in Zone
4 up to 90cm high.
A fast spreading grass. Leaves are deep green striped with
white, with a buff fall colouring. Thrives in moist areas.
Marsh and Bog Plants
VARIEGATED SWEET FLAG
Acorus calamus "Variegatus" grows up to 90cm
high.
A hardy, marshy perennial with dark green Iris-like leaves
and a creamy edgy. The small greenish conical flower is 5-8cm
(2-3") long. This plant has a very pleasant scent when crushed.
Planting depth - water level.
YELLOW FLAG IRIS
Ins pseudacorus
A tall sword leafed plant bearing broad yellow flowers. Planting
depth - 5cm (2") below water level.
CAT TAIL
Typhia latifolia
A hardy variety for planting at the edge of a pool in moist
soil. Planting depth - 5cm (2") below water level.
DWARF CAT TAIL
Typhia minnima
A very dwarf variety of Cat Tail. Planting depth - water level.

We guarantee stock to be true to name, size and in good condition at time of shipping. If any stock should prove to be untrue to name, we will replace it with other stock, or return amount paid, but in no case will we be held responsible for any amount greater than that originally received for such stock. We will not be held responsible for the transportation of stock. We also do not guarantee any plant material to survive the transplanting since the most important conditions for survival, planting and maintenance, are beyond our control. |
