Tree sizes are determined by height up to 300cm, after which the size is determined by caliper.
Caliper measurement is taken from 15cm above ground level, starting at 45mm.

Fagus grandifolia grows in Zones 6-9 up to 18m high.
Smooth gray bark and glossy bluish-green foliage are characteristic of this native plant.

Aristocrat will grow rapidly the first 7 to 8 years as a pyramidal tree. At maturity the form will be oval with a strong central leader. Tolerant to wet or dry conditions. Masses of white blooms in spring and a brilliant purple red to orange fall colour. Disease and insect resistant.
